
Daniel Avery aka Stopmakingme arrives to the second Honki Ponki party at Nolla on Saturday 12.5. When not DJing in London and around the world, Daniel spends his times inside his studio full of analogue equipment producing remixes for Hercules And Love Affair or Metronomy and releases for such labels as Tigersushi, Gomma, How The Other Half Lives and Relish. We caught up with him for a quick interview.

Saturday's guest DJ is Emir Krkic from the disco-not-disco trio Name In Lights, who are featured on Andrew Weatherall's new compilation for Ministry of Sound. Emir also has his solo project Muslim Disco Club where he draws inspiration from Bosnian music of his childhood and the Egyptian guitarist Omar Khorshid. Besides pushing the boundaries in contemporary dance music, Emir runs the popular world music radio show Ajvar in Stockholm.

Named as one of their heroes by modern Norwegian disco greats Todd Terje and Prins Thomas, Dj Strangefruit aka Pål Nyhus might just be one of the most influential underground dj's of the Norwegian scene. He's been spinning records in his distinctive style for almost 30 years. Mats has been playing records for more than 25 years, is working hard with his three labels Local Talk, Basic Fingers and Raw Fusion and runs the legendary Raw Fusion club in the heart of Stockholm. On numerous occasions voted as the best DJ in Sweden, we can expect an open-minded music variation from soulful house to techno. With this opening party Honki Ponki will continue as a regular night in Nolla focusing on good music and exciting visiting guest DJs.
